For CQ2 2026, here are the the ten most profitable companies on the BMQ50 index, and the driver behind their profitability:

Crescendo Corporation: Sold land in Johor to major tech companies to build AI data centers.

Infomina: Renewed major IT service contracts in Malaysia and Thailand (including ongoing tech support for Malaysia’s company registry, SSM).

Scicom (MSC): Handled higher work volumes for existing customer support (BPO) clients and began earning money from new client contracts.

Formosa Prosonic Industries: Turned its business around thanks to strong sales of home audio speakers and contract manufacturing.

Hibiscus Petroleum: Benefited from high global energy prices, selling its crude oil at average prices above USD 100 per barrel.

Bermaz Auto: Saw strong domestic sales for cars like the Mazda3, made higher profit margins, and saw its partner businesses (Mazda & Kia Malaysia) return to profit.

Powerwell Holdings: Sent out major bills for data center electrical equipment and added profits from its newly bought subsidiary, Tenaga Kenari.
